The nature of sport psychology in the future will be determined by the research, writing and applied practices of those now engaged in sport psychology; they will be establishing the field of knowledge, its applied practices and philosophical orientation. This direction is surely the one major development in sport psychology that is exciting and attractive to everyone. What, then, is the future for sport psychology? What will sport psychologists be doing 10 or 20 years from now? It is the problem.
