摘要：Over the last decade, the pedagogic investigations have presented different ways to teach sports and have pointed out the need for curricular changes Physical Education to implement a new sport culture. Thus, this essay discusses some current challenges of academic formation and the pedagogic intervention in sports, namely the alternatives adopted in graduate courses to ensure the didactic-pedagogic formation in sports, pedagogic knowledge of the content as a guide for the development of pedagogic competence for intervention in sports, as well as some alternative structures of pedagogic practices as a curricular component in this area. The initiatives address the current challenges include the efforts to misread the sportive modalities as academic subjects, concern about the development of the pedagogic knowledge of the subjects of teaching theory and teaching methodology in specific modalities and the inclusion of teaching experience to develop the pedagogic competence.
