摘要：This paper aims at describing problems in classification of regional variation in Portuguese and Spanish languages, and explains sociolinguistic criteria. Our aim is to demonstrate that it is not possible to evaluate the sociolinguistic situation of one of the languages reproducing delimitations found in the reality of the other. The paper also questions “choices” of variation in teaching Spanish as a foreign language.
