摘要:This paper aims at studying the imaginary representations of teachers and students involved in the process of teaching and learning English as a second language. By analyzing the assertive discourse of a teacher about his/her role, as well as the role of the students within the classroom context, this study points out some consequences of these representations about oneself (teacher) and about others (students), toward the constitution of the identity of the subjects involved in this process.
