摘要:ABSTRACT: This study is a panoramic presentation of eight centuries of monodic lyric greek poetry, considered since its first time, at the archaic period, until I d. C., the last century of the hellenistic period. The archaic lyric poetry was a composition which depended on performance, because the poems consisted of musical and linguistic texts. The distinguishing features of these lyric poems were the metrical patterns and the musical instrument played during the performance: the lyre, from the aristocratic tradition, or the flute, a popular instrument used until this time only by the peasant people. In the hellenistic period, the lyric poetry becomes "literatureâ€? in modern sense: whithout the musical text, the poems are created only for reading.
