摘要：The aim of this article is to investigate the use of discursive strategies related to melodrama and feuilleton in the Brazilian sports press, especially by Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. To illustrate this aspect I will offer a brief analysis of the reception of Brazilian defeats in World Cups.
