摘要：A amamentação é um processo natural e seus benefícios tanto para o bebê quanto para a mãe são inquestionáveis. Apesar de suas vantagens, o desmame precoce tem ocorrido muitas vezes em decorrência das dificuldades enfrentadas pelas mães em relação ao aleitamento materno (AM). O projeto “Amamentar” tem como objetivos sensibilizar a comunidade sobre a importância do AM e divulgar o trabalho do Banco de Leite Humano e do Disque Amamentação. Trata-se de um projeto de extensão realizado no Bairro Custódio Pereira (Uberlândia-MG), com alunos da 7ª e 8ª séries de uma escola municipal e com gestantes em acompanhamento na Unidade de Saúde deste bairro. O projeto foi dividido em duas etapas: capacitação dos acadêmicos (graduandos em Medicina e Enfermagem) e atuação destes na comunidade. Na escola, foram realizadas aulas inseridas na disciplina de Ciências, abordando temas relacionados à amamentação (ex: anatomia da mama, técnicas de amamentação). No grupo de gestantes, foram discutidos, em reuniões, temas relacionados ao pré-natal, parto, AM e recém-nascidos. Nos dois grupos houve interação com a comunidade de maneiras distintas. Concluindo, o “Amamentar” possibilitou a promoção e o incentivo ao AM, a interação Universidade e comunidade, a interdisciplinaridade e a formação de profissionais cidadãos.
其他摘要：Breastfeeding is a natural process and its benefits, both for the baby and the mother are unquestionable. Despite its advantages, precocious weaning has occurred many times due to difficulties faced by mothers on breastfeeding. The study Amamentar (Breastfeeding) has the objective to attract the community’s attention to the importance of breastfeeding and divulge the work of Banco de Leite Humano (Human Milk Bank) and Disque Amamentação (Call-Breastfeeding Service). It is an extension project, carried out in Custódio Pereira neighborhood (Uberlândia-MG) with pupils of 7th and 8th grades (Elementary School) of a city school and with pregnant women being followed in the health unit of that neighborhood. The project was divided in two stages: qualification of the academic students (under-graduates in Medicine and nursing) and their performance in the community. Classes of Sciences were taught, approaching subjects related to breastfeeding (e.g. breast anatomy, breastfeeding techniques). The group of pregnant women discussed subjects related to the prenatal period, childbirth, breastfeeding and newborn babies. Both groups, had an interaction with the community in different ways. We conclude that Amamentar (Breastfeeding) has made possible the promotion and incentive to breastfeeding, the interaction between the University and the community, an inter subject study and formation of citizen professionals.
