摘要:In the current "Information Age", where knowledge is the most valuable asset of a person, is essentialthat efforts to give education to maximize student learning, particularly in relation to higher education,which forms, in addition professionals, concerned citizens, able to contribute to the development ofsociety as a whole. However, scientific studies show that the university still has shortcomings when itcomes to teaching and methodology used by their teachers. To contribute to this area of research, thispaper presents the perceptions and the preferences in relation to education, the students of AccountingSciences at the federal universities of southern Brazil. This study verifies aspects of the constructs:structure and facilitation of education, organization of discipline, socio-emotional environment and, finally, evaluation strategies. The analysis of data obtained in this study show a discrepancy betweenperceptions and preferences in relation to education, the students who were the target of thisinvestigation. Some most significant examples of these differences are variables related to: a briefpresentation of the content taught in class, teaching classes in different ways, teachers' enthusiasm forteaching, and evaluation tests in group.
