摘要：A partir de un largo pleito que enfrentó a dos cofradías granadinas en la segunda mitad del siglo XVII, se ofrece un panorama general de unas asociaciones populares, las cofradías, que llegaron a ser durante el Antiguo Régimen las corporaciones más numerosas y generalizadas en toda la geografia española. Los distintos tipos de cofradías, su naturaleza jurídica, su composición social y organización interna, así como sus actividades, tanto religiosas como sociales en un sentido más amplio, son analizadas en un artículo que recoge una experiencia de varios años en el campo de investigación de la religiosidad popular.
其他摘要：This paper aims to show a complex view of the religious societies known as brotherhoods, which became the most numerous and popular associations throughout Spain during the Ancien Régíme. Ihis is done by means of studying a legal suit betwcen two brotherhoods in Granada during the second half on the 1 Sth century. The contents of the paper include the diverse types of brotherhoods, their legal status, their social composition and inner organization, and their activities, both at the religious and social level. Besides, this paper conveys over several years of experience in the research of popular religiousness.
