摘要:The mobilization of immigrant working population and its links to trade unions in destination countries remains a central issue for the sociology of work. The aim of this study is to describe the relationship between immigrants and trade unions departing from the case of the Workers ' Commission (CCOO) in Catalonia. On the one hand, the study relies upon quantitative data to describe the evolution of immigrant workers membership in CCOO, by presenting the size and profile of foreign population affiliation. On the other hand, the qualitative data of the study, coming from focus groups and in-depth interviews with various trade union actors, reveal different discursive logics generated on immigrants’ trade union affiliation. The study examines also the effects the economic crisis on immigrants’ trade union membership.
