摘要:20 years after the dissolution of the Soviet Union, the Victory commemoration in Russia has emerged as the main national holiday and the basis for the construction of post-Soviet Russian identity, especially since the first presidency of Vladimir Putin. The cornerstone of the celebration is the Victory parade and the reading of the presidential speech, every 9th of May in the moscovite Red Square. This article discusses the construction of post-Soviet Russian citizen over the last eleven Victory speeches (2000-2010), by means of narrative semiotics as methodological framework.
