摘要：In the field of Information Science, an informative element that is considered to be essential to manage information is the figure of the author. Nevertheless, only a few studies in Journalistic Information Science have focused on the journalist as an author and the main responsible part for the information we read in press. In this article we will try to prove the documentary and journalistic importance of the journalist ´s signature in the news. To back our arguments, we refer to the data taken out of the study of two local newspapers in Sevilla: El Correo de Andalucía and Diario de Sevilla.
