摘要：La creciente práctica periodística de producir contenidos banales, espectaculares, acuciados por la inminente actualidad, ha puesto en riesgo los valores fundamentales de la profesión. En este contexto y mediante el método de la encuesta, este ensayo explora en dónde se posicionan los periodistas en Puerto Rico ante los fundamentos de la profesión y cuán afín a sus valores perciben el liderato de los medios en los que trabajan. Indaga, además, cómo estas posturas conversan con los motivos que llevaron a los periodistas a ejercer esta profesión y con el estado de la prensa hoy día.
其他摘要：The growing practice of journalism to produce banal, spectacular content has jeopardized the fundamental values of the profession. In this context and through a survey method, this essay explores where Puerto Rican journalists position themselves in regard to the values of the profession and how do they perceive the leadership of the media in which they work. In addition, this work inquires the reasons that motivated them to choose the journalistic profession and the relationship of all these findings with the state of the press today.
