摘要：Las elecciones de 1834 tienen especial interés para los investigadores por el hecho de ser las primeras celebradas durante el reinado de Isabel II, teniendo como base normativa el Estatuto Real. Para estudiar el desarrollo de estas elecciones se ha utilizado el método histórico, las fuentes documentales del Congreso y la prensa de la época, que se han cruzado con la bibliografía disponible. Este trabajo muestra unas elecciones deformadas por un exiguo número de electores, mayoritariamente grandes contribuyentes, la inexistencia de partidos políticos dentro de la amalgama liberal, y el fraude motivado por el intervencionismo gubernamental heredado del Antiguo Régimen. Por último, se hace una interesante aportación sobre la composición de las Cortes.
其他摘要：The 1834 Spanish election is highly interesting to researchers because it was the first held during the reign of Isabel II, based on the so-called “Estatuto Real”. In order to study the development of this election I have employed the historical method, the Spanish Congress sources and the press of the period, combined with the available literature. This work shows a distorted election due to the small number of voters —mostly large taxpayers—, the absence of political parties within the liberal amalgam and the fraud motivated by the government interventionism inherited from the Ancien Régime. Finally, it is an interesting contribution on the parliamentary composition.
