摘要：This paper introduces common elements between two representative characters of the liberalism and their different manifestation in Spain and Cuba. These characters were Alejandro Oliván and Francisco Arango y Parreño and the study takes off from the approximation to the foundations and consecuences of the journeys made to the Antillas and to different European countries in 1829 and 1794, respectively. The study focuses on the journey made by Alejandro Oliván, barely known, and evaluates the sponsorship of the Cuban Consulate, managed by Arango, and the relationship of friendship and truthfulness between Madrid and Habana, these relationships generated by the members of the social net.
