摘要：In 1788 the presence in Madrid of the Cuban Francisco Arango y Parreño launched reciprocal exchanges between Spain and Cuba which lasted for the most part of the 19th Century. This article studies the social dimension of Arango’s activities through his integration in a La Habanasettled family with presence and projection in Madrid, which set up a network of relations and useful friendship at the upper levels of power. Research has been made in the Archivo Histórico Nacional and in the Archivo Histórico de Protocolos Notariales de Madrid.
