  • 摘要:Along the XVI century a significant scientific development took place in Europe and Spain. Humanism and the discovery of America were essential factors in the impulse given to the study of nature showed through the publications of many of those who traveled to the New World and, delighted with the nature they found, described its flora and fauna. Some of the authors were specially important for the development of natural science, so much for the quality of their contributions like for the diffusion of their works. In this paper we will refer, essentially, to the first half of the century, the corresponding period, approximately, to the Emperor’s life.
