摘要：For the last twenty years Venezuelan historiography has undergone dramatic changes which greatly benefited the field of Colonial studies. This article shows the main characteristics of those changes, mostly the way in which the classic or traditional forms of «making history» have turned into more professional views including new topics and objectives.
