摘要：The evidence on iron and steel working and on the iron objects from the Asturian hillforts, as well as on the relation between them and possible mining areas, is reviewed. We also present unpublished information on recent test pits excavated in two hillforts in the municipality of Teverga and on research into the catchment area of a wide number of Iron Age sites. Some working hypothesis on the social interpretations of palaeometallurgy are proposed.
