摘要：The demographic dynamic in Spain over the last 30 years has been marked by a pronounced drop in fertility and mortality and also by a strong transformation in mobility. At a provincial level, we can observe a similar trend in fertility and mortality. However, the evolution of births has been very different. This situation reveals the unequal impact of migration on reproduction. In this paper we analyse population reproduction from the perspective of the evolution of births using a new indicator, the Birth Replacement Ratios. The first objective is to measure whether current births mean the renewal of the parents’ generation. The second objective is to analyse the impact of migration on birth replacement through the replacement trajectories and the composition of the female population in the reproductive ages.
