摘要：O presente texto tem como objetivo analisar como se deu a metamorfose paisagística do Litoral Norte do Rio Grande do Sul (LNRS), a qual pode ser compreendida através dos relatos de dois viajantes: Auguste de Saint-Hilaire e Carl Seidler. Os dois viajantes excursionaram pelo LNRS na década de 1820 e presenciaram fatos históricos que compreendem a passagem de soldados até o assentamento de colonos alemães. O que foi visto por Seidler e deixou de ser visto por Saint-Hilaire possibilita analisar como se deu a transformação do espaço que ora denominamos de LNRS.
其他摘要：This paper aims to analyse how came to happen the metamorphosis of the landscape in the North Coast of Rio Grande do Sul (NCRS) This can be understood through the reports of the travellers Auguste de Saint-Hilaire and Carl Seidler. Both travellers toured in the NCRS in the 1820s.They witnessed historic events since the transit of the soldiers until the settlement of the germans colonists.What was seen by Seidler and not seen by Saint-Hilaire makes possible to realize the changes that occurred in the area that now is called NCRS.
