摘要:To read the XXth century through the lens of literature in Roberto Bolaño’s 2666 novel is to risk thinking the century in a Kafkian –or perhaps it’s better to say– post-Kafkian way (in the same manner that Agamben talks about the post-human). What is the (re)reading of the century carried out by Bolaño in 2666? What could the term ‘Bolañian’ mean in order to reflect about the century? Two questions, among others, that will guide this text. As there was a “malady of the century” in the 1800s, expressed in the idea of decadence (Huysmans), there would also be a malady of the XXth century, embodied in the horror and the “visualization of the invisible” of Auschwitz (Blanchot).
