摘要：Trata-se de compreender as coincidências técnico-utópicas entre Xul Solar (artista plástico argentino) e Oswald de Andrade (poeta brasileiro). A Vuelvilla de Xul Solar, seus autômatas e seus mestizos de avión y gente, são metáforas do alcance da liberdade humana, depois de uma longa evolução espiritual. A Antropofagia II, que aparece nos textos de Oswald de Andrade, na década de 1950, com seu programa de emancipação do ser humano da monogamia e do trabalho, representa a síntese do homem natural-tecnizado. Finalmente, o progresso realizaria a promessa da humanidade: “os fuso strabalhariam sozinhos”. A Revolução Caraíba, na clave da dialética hegeliana que une os dois pensamentos evolucionistas — Xul, através dos ensinamentos de Blavatsky, Andrade, um pós-marxista — anunciava a fase do homem no reino do ócio, condição para a fantasia, a imaginação, o lúdico, perdido com a perda da cultura primitiva pré-colombiana. PALAVRAS-CHAVE: arte; técnica; antropofagia. ABSTRACT: This paper aims at understanding the techno-utopian similarities between Xul Solar (Argentine artist) and Oswald de Andrade (Brazilian poet). The Xul Solar’s Vuelvilla, its automata and its mestizos de avión y gente are metaphors reaching the human freedom, aft er a long spiritual evolution. Antropofagia II, which appears in the Oswald de Andrade’s works in the 1950s, shows a program for emancipating human from monogamy and work and represents the synthesis of natural tech-man. Finally, the progress would perform the promise of humanity: “the spindles would work alone”. The so called Caraíba Revolution, aft er the Hegelian dialectic linkingthe thoughts of the two evolutionists, i.e., Xul, through the teachings of Blavatsky and Andrade, a post-Marxist, announced the phase of the man in the leisure kingdom, which offers suitable conditions for fantasy, imagination and playful, all of them lost in the early pre-Columbian culture.
