摘要：Ha sido habitual en la historiografía vasca tratar de la realidad campesina del país como si se tratara de una realidad inmóvil y homogénea. El campesino real quedaba oculto tras la máscara de un concepto abstracto, ahistórico, simple y uniforme: el del campesinado vasco. El trabajo trata de rescatar a estos protagonistas para devolverlos al terreno plural y dinámico de la historia, y lo hace situando su análisis en las vísperas de la I Industrialización. Se vale para ello de un esquema estructurado en cuatro partes. La primera, de corte más estático, plantea ya una diversidad de partida: la marcada por sus espacios, sus recursos o sus distintas formas de hábitat. En la segunda y tercera, de orientación dinámica, somete a ese marco plural a la prueba de un doble momento de significación distinta: la «regresión ruralizadora» de 1820-1857, y el primer arranque industrializador (1857 y 1877). Ello lleva, en la cuarta parte, a replantear la validez y sentido de determinados criterios analíticos seguidos hasta el momento. El apartado conclusivo recoge la necesidad de comprender esta realidad campesina en términos de complejidad, riqueza y dinamismo histórico.
其他摘要：It has been usual in the Basque historiography to deal with the reality farmer of the country as it was an immovable and homogenous reality. The real farmer was hidden after the mask of an abstract, ahistoric, simple and uniform concept: those of Basque peasantry. The article tries to rescue these protagonists to give back them to the plural and dynamic land of history, and it does locating the analysis in the eve of the first industrialization. This work is structured in four parts. First, of more static style, already raises a diverse departure, marked by geography, resources or different forms of settlement. Second and third, behind a dynamic direction, this plural frame is set to a double period testing of different meaning: the «rural regression» of 1820-1857 decades, and the first industrial take off (1857 to 1877). In the fourth part, as a consequence, it leads to reframe the validity and sense of certain followed analytical criteria until now. Conclusions, gather the necessity to understand this rural world in terms of complexity, richness and historical dynamism.
