摘要：A televisão, com suas narrativas ininterruptas, constrói representações do futuro e do passado particularmente em duas tipologias de textos: as comemorações e as cerimônias. Quais são os usos que os meios de comunicação fazem do passado e como instauram o futuro? Essa é a pergunta básica que norteia este texto, cujo objetivo é produzir uma reflexão sobre as narrativas da televisão, particularizando as cerimônias festivas construídas na tela da TV. Palavras-chave: televisão; cerimônias; esquecimento Abstract Medias and uses of the past: forgetfulness and the future - Television, with its uninterrupted narratives, builds representations of the future and the past, particularly in two text typologies: commemorations and ceremonies. What uses do the media make of the past and how do they establish the future? This is the basic question directing this essay, whose objective is to prompt reflections about television narratives, particularly the festive ceremonies constructed on the small screen.
