摘要：This essay examines what the cultural history of science is, and points out some of the problems with regard to its correct definition and demarcation. It emphasizes some key concepts (practices and representations) and some significant approaches (the visual, the material, the symbolic) in the development of this line of inquiry that may contribute to our understanding of science as culture.
