摘要：A recent review of Karen D. Vitelli appeared in American Journal of Archaeology (1995, 775) on John F. Moffitt's Art Forgery. The case of the Lady of Elche , is the reason that make us to write this paper. It is discussed here both method and content of a book showing a scientific intention but inaceptable conclusions. The Lady of Elche deserves a better approach from the light of the new Iberian archaeological research.
