摘要：A Roman funerary inscription found in Augusta Emerita (Mérida, Spain) names two centurions of the Legio VII Gemina . In this paper the authors examine several questions, such as the attempt to establish the identification of both the centurions (at least one seems certain), their geographical origin and their presence in the colony as members belonging to the officium of the governor of Lusitania. The epigraph possibly dates back to the second half of the 2nd. cent. A.D.
