摘要：The site of the hillfort of La Ulaña occupies an area of 285 hectares. Its defence system is natural escarpments and wall fortifications, which are not continous but only present in those parts of the hilìfort which are more accessible. In addition, a transversal wall divides the hillfort into two unequal parts. It is surrounded by a natural moat of 301 hectares, with a series of walls which cur it into compartments, limiting the circulation and the access to water supplies. The approaches to La Ulaña were through natural gateways, leaving the visitors immediately exposed to the inhabitants of the hillfort. This defensive system dates back to the Second Iron Age.
