摘要：This paper presents a wealth of information on one of the oldest and most important communication routes in the Ancient Iberian Peninsula, A Gades Romam, from Cádiz to Rome, described by Vicarello Goblets. The study provides the results of an archaeological intervention, confirming the Roman character of the section studied. It also shows how the systematic application of a proper archaeological intervention method can provide relevant results to progress in the characterization and recognition of Roman roads, without destroying the monument; in this case a road dating back two millenia
