摘要:The main purpose of the present article is to establish a first approach to the artistic career of Spanish chapel master Gregorio Bartolomé Remacha, whose compositions survive on both sides of the Atlantic, but is otherwise unknown in the context of Hispanoamerican Musicology. Taking as the starting point for this undertaking his pieces formerly housed at the Archivo Musical del Colegio de Santa Rosa, nowadays in the custody of the Conservatorio de las Rosas (Morelia, state of Michoacán, México), it will show the methodological strategies leading towards a rediscovery of this musician, in the same order as that followed in the present research.
