摘要：A investigação, neste estudo, centra-se na formação docente e no processo ensino/ aprendizagem de língua inglesa.Ao falar de ensino e aprendizagem de línguas, é relevante salientar que os sujeitos envolvidos neste processo, os docentes e discentes, carregam consigo crenças sobre as formas de se aprender e ensinar o idioma trabalhado, fundamentando as metodologias de ensino e a construção do conhecimento nestas crenças.Devido à influência do docente na aprendizagem dos estudantes, faz-se necessário que o profissional que leciona línguas estrangeiras tenha formação apropriada para execução desta tarefa caracterizada por Almeida Filho (2002) como complexa e constantemente reflexiva.Ao salientar as implicações das crenças na prática pedagógica e a relevância da formação do profissional de línguas estrangeiras para um ensino de qualidade, busca-se verificar quais são as crenças de estudantes de Letras/Inglês, que já atuam como professores, sobre a aprendizagem e o ensino de língua inglesa, bem como destacar de que maneira a formação docente auxilia a prática em sala de aula.
其他摘要：The investigation in this study focuses on teacher education and in the English teaching/learning process. In the discussion of language learning and teaching, it is important to note that the subjects involved in this process, teachers and students, bring with them beliefs about the ways to learn and teach the language, focusing on the teaching methodologies and knowledge construction in these beliefs. Due to the influence of teachers on student learning, it is necessary that the professional who teaches foreign languages ??has appropriate training for this activity characterized by Almeida Filho (2002) as complex and constantly reflective. Highlighting the implications of the beliefs in teaching practice and the relevance of the professional training of foreign languages ??to a qualified education, we aim to verify what are the beliefs of students of Letras/English, who have already worked as teachers, about learning and teaching the English language as well as highlighting how teacher education assists practice in the classroom.
