摘要：Construções de posse introduzidas por preposição “a” são agramaticais no Português Brasileiro no momento atual, mas não o eram no século XIX. Nesse artigo é traçado o percurso dessa mudança e são discutidas duas propostas de explicação (KAYNE, 1994; SZABOLCSI, 1994/GAVRUŠEVA, 2000).
