摘要：O artigo trata da relação entre o fim das vanguardas e o fim da arte. As propostas das vanguardas, que correspondem ao período da modernidade artística, objetivavam transformar o mundo através da arte. Nas décadas de 60 e 70 as propostas vanguardistas transformaram-se em jogos aleatórios de signos que perderam sua capacidade transformadora e crítica. Discute então as consequências disso, ou seja, que espaço ocupa a arte no chamado mundo “pós-moderno”: se ela não se relaciona mais com um referente, ela está fadada a permanecer no vácuo? ou pode-se associá-la ao neo-conservadorismo? As diferenças entre as propostas das vanguardas heróicas e as da arte contemporânea são enfatizadas para que se liberte a arte pós-vanguardista dos compromissos das vanguardas e se compreenda o que pode ser essa arte nas condições atuais.
其他摘要：This article discusses the relationship between the end of the vanguards and the end of art. The proposals of the vanguards, which correspond to the period of artistic modernity, aimed to transform the world through art. In the ‘60s and ‘70s the vanguardists proposal became in random games of signs that lost their capacity to transform and criticize. Then it discusses the consequences of these facts, in other words, which space art occupies in the called “post-modern” world: if it no more relates to a reference, is it doomed to remain in vacuum? Or can we associate it with neo-conservatism? The differences between the proposals of the heroic vanguards and the contemporary art are emphasized so that it release the post-vanguardist art is released from the vanguards engagement and what may be this art on current conditions can be understood.
