摘要:This paper discusses bibliographic access to the Distributed National Collection of Asian materials, and proposes recommendations which would enable us to answer the question 'What Asian materials are held in the collections of Australian libraries, and where are they?' The National Bibliographic Database is advocated as the primary tool for bibliographic access to Asian materials in Australian libraries, and the paper reviews the coverage of the NBD, the relationship between the ABN and CJK databases, and ways in which the NBD may be enhanced. The recommendations are intended to enhance the coverage and effectiveness of the NBD for Asian materials.
