摘要：Use of fiber optic transmission media at PT. PLN (Persero) P3B Java - BaliRegion of Jakarta - Banten (RJKB), is the need for communication betweeneach other, as well as ease of communication made by a company to itssubsidiary companies. The use of fiber optics is aimed to improve quality anddevelop long-distance communication technologies. With data transfer speedsup to 1 Gbps, then the data transmission from one building to another buildingor from one office to another office will be easier and faster. So much a benefitof this transmission medium, so no one if fiber optics is the best choicecompared to other transmission media such as UTP or coaxial cable. Althoughthe cost to buy the fiber optics is quite expensive, but it will be covered with thequality provided by this optical fiber. Bibliography (2001 - 2006)
