摘要：In this PI writer describes the modulation technique (MODEM), especially forDMT and CAP modulation technology in ADSL modem, also briefly describedhere understanding ADSL, DMT and CAP, the system is formed by an ADSLmodem that works to memodulasikan a digital signal into a signal analog, ADSLis a modem that uses an asymmetric signal transmission technique wherebykecepoatan downstream from 6.1 Mbps to 1.5 Mbps and upstream speed of 64Kbps up to 1 mulaidari Mbps. Yasng modulation techniques can be used is theCAP (Carierless Amplitude Phase Modulation) and DMT (Discrete Multi Tone)modulation technique has been appointed as the DMT modulation standard inADSL modem. ADSL is in use for applications Vidio On Demand (VOD),Internet access, remote LAN access, and multimedia access. DMT modulationtechnique has been the best choice to become standard on ADSL modemmodulation, in comparison with CAP modulation technology.. PTTelekomunikasi Indonesia have tested the performance of an ADSL modemusing DMT modulation technique to allow its use at insprastruktur copper cablenetworks that already exist in Indonesi.
