摘要:English is an international language and it is important in this era ofglobalization which English is one of requirements that we have to master.Introducing English begins form the students from early childhood, when theyare in kindergarten. In kindergarten, English language is necessary to be applyand the children will be absorb the material better than adult. The aims of thisresearch are to know the English teaching methods used at AnugerahKindergarten Bogor and how the English teaching methods are applied. Thewriter uses two kinds of methods, which are field research (observation andinterview with the headmaster and the teachers at Anugerah Kindergarten) andlibrary research (search and read the books and resources to get more specificdata). The methods of teaching English that applied at Anugerah Kindergartenare direct method or natural approach, total physical response method, andcommunicative method. The application of the direct method, the children willabsorb the material easily by studying English orally and they wiil do what theteacher did. In total physical response method, the children do a lot of listeningbefore they learn to speak and they do a lot of physical activities in learningEnglish, such as reaching, moving, and grabbing. By using communicativemethod, the teacher make the communicative competence the goal of languageteaching. The application of communicative method with the games. With thosemethods are available to used and the children will be easier to learning English.
