As the country's capital,Jakarta became the center of all activities and objectives of population from other areas to earnmoney. Many problems that arise because of the dense population in the city, among them healthproblems. Therefore, the existence of hospitals as a means of health is very important. Theauthor makes Geographic Information Systems (GIS) mapping the location of the hospital inSouth Jakarta using Quantum GIS 0.9.1 and Map Server with Chameleon framework andPostgreSQL support. Quantum GIS is used for map digitizing process. To use the PostgreSQLdatabase 8.2.X. As for making a web-based information system, the author uses Map Server 5.Adobe Dreamweaver CS 3 is used to edit the coding and display of web GIS. The informationpresented from hospital layer consists of a hospital name, hospital address, phone number, faxnumber, website and pictures of the hospital. With the Web GIS community is expected to moreeasily identify the location of a hospital located in South Jakarta.
