摘要：Student community of University of Indonesia political science class in 2002requires a means of information and rapid communication and widespread andnot confined to the conventional way by meeting with the media directly orphone if you want to communicate or share information. Fulfilling these needswill be done by creating a community web site. This community website aimedat representing the community well and provides information and rapid andeffective communication between fellow Political Science students and otherswho study or are interested in political science, through the medium of internet,that is to publish articles, create tools forum, featuring news stories from fellowmembers of the community and others. This web site was built with the conceptof a Content Management System (CMS) to facilitate the processing of data andinformation in it. The software used is PHP and MySQL for database storage.The conclusion was that the presence of a community web site can provideinformation and communication faster and more effective, because it is notlimited by geographical and time. Besides the existence of a CMS for datamanagement can improve the provision of information while reducing time,effort and cost required for its management because of the ease in administrationand management in distributed site.
