摘要：Key Word : detection, Matlab, transformABSTRACT :Onset detection is a process used to identify an event or onset of music featuredin the musical sound signal. Onset detection is made by using Short TimeFourier Transform (STFT) application program which can transform the musicalsound signal into a spectrum image that can be detected at any occurrence of anonset. The research conducted at the onset consist of several processes: theprocess of making music sound signal data using Guitar Pro music software,music data processing using a Short Time Fourier Transform (STFT) and thecalculation and comparison of the onset position. Short Time Fourier Transform(STFT) is used to transform the musical sound signal data into a spectrum imageso that onset of the spectrum occurs in a musical sound signal can be identified.The results of the voice signal transformation is processed to get the time. Theresults of event list from these calculations compared with Cakewalk software.The test is conducted by taking the music jazz files of piano.wav andchord1.wav with an average success rate of 84.11%.
