摘要：Key Words: client-server, billing application, Linux, Gambas, WARNETABSTRACT :Open source operating system that relied now days by many people, it is because it has several advantages such as data security and convenience and ofcourse economic factors, such as Linux has made many companies turn to it.From this operating system, it was born a visual programming language that hadbeen popular on windows operating system is a visual programming languagefor Linux, which is Gambas. Gambas is a graphics oriented or visualprogramming language, but it can also to make text-oriented programs (runningin the console) that runs on Linux platform. That many switched to using Linuxoperating system has started from small companies or businesses such as Warnet(internet store), therefore the author tried to apply this program in making theWarnet billing applications that use Linux operating system, and make theinstaller to use a variety of distributions. Billing system or payment system is anapplication that is often used in Warnet and computer rental service to make iteasier to know how long the user has been using the computer and find out howmuch that must be paid by a computer user. In this research will be discussedhow to make the billing application - the server by using the Gambasprogramming language, Gambas program comparisons with the visual programon windows operating systems such as Visual Basic and to make sure that theprogram can be modified in the future.
