摘要：GIS (Geographic Information System) is asystem used to manage (input,management, processes, and output)spatial data or geographic referenced dataand attribute data in the form of tables, forexample, administrative data on Depokcity population. Administration ofresidence is important in structuring andcontrolling activities in the issuance ofresidence documents and data throughpopulation registration, civil registration,and information processing and utilizationof the results for public services anddevelopment. Today Depok does not havethe completeness administration ofpopulation, which is making it difficult toobtain information on population data forthe needs of society and government,hence it needs a system with a database ofinformation that can facilitate the Depokcity government to manage and obtaininformation. Therefore, population dataare implemented into a geographicinformation system based on external datausing ArcView 3.3 software and MicrosoftAccess.
