摘要：Geographic Information System (GIS) are information systems used to input,store, retrieval, process, analyze, and make geographic reference data orgeo-spatial, to support decision-making in the planning. By using GIS it will beeasier for decision makers to analyze the data. Because with the GIS will berepresented too positions dissemination of data on actual conditions. The authormade a Geographic Information System Design to know the areas affected bythe floods in Jakarta in early 2007 using Arc View GIS. This application systemis expected realization of GIS in understanding the flood conditions that provideadditional knowledge of how we as a society DKI Jakarta in order to overcomethe problem of flooding.
