摘要：Expert system is computer software that has a certain knowledge base and usethe inference reasoning resembles an expert in solving problems. With thisapproach, a program was made using the CLIPS based on medical knowledge,to diagnose diabetes mellitus and the early symptoms of diabetes mellitus. In thecase of diabetes mellitus diagnosis, expert systems can help as well as aphysician in diagnosing the disease. In the world of medicine the diagnosis ofdisease includes activities of identifying and setting of disease obtained fromcomplaints and signs in patients. So users can obtain early diagnosis fromexperienced symptoms, and recommendations related to these symptoms. Thisprogram helps to reduce the duty of a physician in diagnosing diabetes mellitus.With this program the patient can be immediately checked himself into thedoctor if signs of suspicious are founded.
