  • 摘要:This research is to discuss the application of data hiding by using the techniqueof steganography in Java programming language. Steganography means to hideinformation and digital data of digital information behind the other. In a modernsteganography variety of techniques that can be used to hide some informationinclude modifications to least significant bit (LSB), discrete cosine transformmethod (DCT) and Method RedGreenBlue Level (RGB). LSB method is tomodify the bits belonging to bit LSB in each byte in a file which is then LSBbits will be modified by replacing any existing LSB bits of other information tohide. DCT method is a method to compress JPEG images. DCT transformationwill produce a map containing the 8x8 frequency coefficient representing theaverage value in the block. While RGB method is the development of GrayLevel Modification method (GLM). RGB method is changing the image pixelvalue becomes even odd then modify the image pixel (which is the change to thebinary system) with the bits of information to be inserted. This research is doneby making steganography application that can hide information or a confidentialmessage text into a digital image media by using LSB, DCT method and RGBmethods. This research report contains five chapters begins by supportingtheories that the process of designing and manufacturing of steganographyapplications. Steganography applications can be used to save storage, savingbandwidth in images transformation, and to keep information secure from theftor from people who have no right to know
