摘要：GIS technology (Geographic Information System) is a geographicallytechnology which have been very growth. We have already known the termsDesktop GIS, Web GIS, and Spatial Database which is a form of developmentof Geographic Information System technology to provide solutions to variousproblems that can only be answered by this GIS technology. This research willdiscuss about creating sites of Geographic Information System for Education inDepok using data obtained from the Department of Education and from theInternet. Web GIS application is made by using Quantum GIS applications, MapServer, Postgre SQL / Post GIS and as its framework Chameleon. Meanwhile,the programming language used was PHP, HTML, Javascript, and CSS Withthis Web GIS application, users are expected to become easier in gettinginformation about the means of Education, Office of Education in the city ofDepok.
