摘要：The Library of SMAN 80 is considered as one of the responsible institutions that providesinformation supporting the teaching and learning process. At the moment, all of the library dataare manually recorded in the ledger. Not only is this method considered inefficient in the case ofdata retrieving but also very frail to data corruption. Besides, the availability of books can onlybe known by coming to the library.The purpose of this research is to make a web site that facilitates the on-line borrowing andreserving book transactions.. The design of the site is performed by using PHP programminglanguage, MySQL is used to create the database and Dreamweaver is used as a web editor. Thisapplication facilitates on-line catalog browsing and book reservation that can be accesseddirectly at the school (the library) or from outside of the school. To borrow and return the book,the member just only needs to show the membership card to librarian. The admin of the systemcan input book collection, members and borrowing and returning transactions data, update themember data, manage the borrowing and returning data, and can create polls and writing newsabout the library simply by utilizing all the menus provided by the application.
