摘要：The development of information and communication technologies areincreasingly rapidly as it allows us to obtain information quickly, cheaply, andeasily. One of the products of information and communication technologies thatprovide these facilities is the cellular phone (mobile phone). With increasingcurrent technological developments lead to the emergence of various newtechnologies in the manufacture of mobile phone applications. Therefore, theauthor wants to make an application on computer-based mobile phones forstudents seeking academic information available on campus. The author makesthe design of academic information services applications using UML and J2MEwith NetBeans IDE 5.0, which is only through cell phones that already have datatransmission capabilities of GPRS (General Packet Radio Service), students canaccess academic information. It also discusses the writing of interface designand manufacture a MIDlet or MIDP (Mobile Information Device Profile) formof data schedule of courses, exam schedules, course and workshop schedules,information value and academic calendar made by MySQL, for web server, theauthor also uses PHP as liaison with J2ME. The author hopes, this program willprovide ease of communication, especially for students to obtain academicinformation effectively and efficiently without having to come directly tocampus.
