摘要：keyword: EQUIVALENT, PAST PERFECT TENSE, BOOKABSTRACT :The paper is entitled The Equivalents of past perfect tense in John Perkinsbook Confession of an Economic Hit man,The writer tries to research thisbook that related the last subject in second grade that is manusia dankebudayaan Indonesia. Since English and Indonesia have different grammaticalways in formulating sentences, the translation of past perfect from English intoIndonesian may have more then one equivalents in this study so, statement ofthe problem this research is, what are the equivalents of past perfect inIndonesian? Based on the problem formulating stated above, the writer aims toobtain the factual data concerning the equivalents of past perfect in Indonesian.The writer takes source from the scientific book which was written by johnperkins. It ws published 2005 by abdi tandur. It consists of 278 pages and 35chapters. The writer chooses the topic after that the writer collects several datafrom chapter 1 until chapter6, and then the writer analyses those data of pastperfect and makes column. The last step is the data in the table is discussed to see what the translation is.
